NBA Ratings for Game 1 of the NBA Finals can only be described as disappointing. Game 1 of the NBA Finals between the Boston Celtics and Golden State Warriors was the least watched in 15 years.

With the NBA heading into the NBA Finals with momentum and surging ratings...why were ratings for Game 1 so disappointing? We provide our theory as to why the casual NBA fan lost interest before the NBA Finals.
