In nearly 20 years of existence...the Houston Texans have had ONE franchise quarterback. Deshaun Watson. Because of the myriad of bad decisions over the last few years...the Texans have essentially forced their franchise quarterback to demand a trade this offseason.

The relationship between quarterback and franchise has become so contentious in Houston...that Deshaun Watson has stopped fielding phone calls from the Texans. In short...the marriage is over...and it's time to move on.

Drew Brees: Time to Retire

There's no argument to be made...Drew Brees is the most successful player in the history of the New Orleans Saints. He is the face of the franchise...a legend...the statue of him will be in front of the Superdome in the next few years.

However...it is abundantly clear that Brees is no longer capable of leading this team to the Superbowl. Sunday night against Tom Brady and the Bucs was the third straight year that Drew Brees has collapsed in the playoffs.

The Houston Texans have never had a franchise quarterback in the history of the organization...until they drafted Deshaun Watson. It's evident that ownership in Houston doesn't appreciate or respect their franchise quarterback.

The Texans have made a series of bad decisions over the years. Prime example is keeping Bill O'Brien around for far too long...who set the Texans back YEARS with his personnel decisions. 

Deshaun Watson signed a contract extension with the Texans before the 2020 season...but the organization is a disaster and nowhere near playoff contention. We explain why Deshaun Watson needs to do whatever it takes to get out of Houston this offseason.
